Wrapping Our Neighbors in Comfort: East Hills Subaru of Sayville Visits Good Samaritan Cancer Center - Kristin S

As part of our ongoing Subaru Loves to Care® initiative, we had the incredible privilege of visiting the Good Samaritan Cancer Center in West Islip to deliver a little extra warmth, love, and encouragement to patients undergoing treatment. Through our long-standing national partnership with Blood Cancer United® and Subaru of America, our local dealership was honored to provide 80 custom blankets alongside a collection of heartfelt, handwritten messages of hope crafted by our own team and wonderful showroom customers. Many people don't realize that cancer treatments often leave patients feeling cold, regardless of the warm summer weather outside. By delivering these blankets today, our goal was to ensure these brave individuals feel wrapped in comfort and know that their Long Island community is standing right beside them. We are immensely grateful to the staff at Good Samaritan for welcoming us, and to everyone who took the time to write a message of hope in our store to help make this day possible.

Trees To Meet You - Phil W

March 22nd was a cold, cloudy day on Long Island, NY. Most people were not thinking about their lawns or the trees planted on them. For 100 people, though, they were rewarded by East Hills Subaru of Sayville and Subaru of America with complimentary trees as part of the Subaru Loves the Earth campaign. These customers -- and friends of the earth -- received a tree to plant in their yards to celebrate the earth and contribute to even more beautiful communities. "We couldn't be more happy," said Phil Wolhar, Chief Marketing Officer, "meeting all of these Subaru afficionados and giving away all these trees was really something to see!"
